Transport: There are good public transport links and we can arrange a taxi from Riding Mill train station (local charges apply) if you have a larger group then we can give you details of local mini bus companies (local charges apply). Subject to staffing at Shepherds Dene on your arrival date it may be possible to collect you at a cost of £3.00.
Parking: Up to 30 parking places around the house in the grounds. Additional spaces are available for functions and special events if required.
Starting time: Shepherds Dene is 30 minutes drive from Newcastle. We provide coffee on arrival.
Choice of room: The Newall Room is best for boardroom meetings and presentations and has integrated audio visual equipment. The Terrace Room is best for armchair meetings and the Garden Room best for confidential meetings.
Catering: We provide a delicious, home-cooked food and our prices are based on full board. Lunch is usually a light two-course meal followed by tea/coffee and we provide a 3-course dinner. All coffee and teac breaks are accompanied by home-made biscuits or cakes. If you require a full lunch or 3-course lunch please just ask. we can also provide a sumptuous buffet for special occasions.
Facilities: Good choice of breakout rooms and flip charts readily available at no extra charge.
The Grounds: You may like to get some fresh air and explore the grounds; please bring sensible and sturdy outdoor shoes as you may want to walk down by the beautiful stream.
What’s included? We don’t believe in extras and build everything into the delegate rate except drinks from the bar.
Silence: We can support groups meeting in silence and can do both for their exclusive use or in one part of the house.
